About justpete

We need help. We live in Wisconsin. I lost my job, my wife hasn't been able to work for 3 years because she has hepititus C, we get no disability for it. I was just given my forclosure notice so we have six months to vacate. Her daughter is living with us and she is only one working, which isn't enough to even pay the heat bill. We've tried to get assistance, but it's not enough. I went into 40,000 in debt trying to support my wife during her illness, then I lost my job and now I'm in line to lose everything. I am highly skilled at many things, but nobody will hire me because I'm overqualified and too old (59). I'm a musician but there aren't enough jobs available in the entertainment field. I've taught snow skiing, and golfing, but no longer certified in either. Worked in factories in many fields, mostly warehousing but there are no jobs available here.

We are desperate for any kind of help. If you can help us, e-mail us here

before we lose our internet which could be soon.

Thank you

Pete

call NACA for assistance with your foreclosure

contact LIHEAP for assistance with electric and gas bills

check out pparx for assistance with your wife's meds and low income clinics

if you qualify for LIHEAP you may qualify for lifeline

if your wife was denied social security disability for Hep C Diagnosis, then I would say file an appeal with the help an attorney - most will work on a contingency basis - they do not get paid unless you win

Thanks for the response, you're the only one..

No information on your profile page at all othere than what you wrote.

On talking to kids, in this area you HAVE to have a degree of some sort to do that, and I don't.

I know about internet at the librabry, you get one hour a day, which would cover handling e-mails is about it.

I have sold some on craigslist but not much.

There simply are no jobs for people like me, young people and minorities (mostly hmung here) get all the jobs even if they're not qualified.

We will lose the house, forclosure papers already sent, so there's no hope there. This area has benefits drives for disabled people all the time, but my wife is not considered disabled so nobody wants to help us. We will lose everything.

Thanks for your reply and your good intentions.

Hi

I am seeing this late and I don't know if you can get help with NACA still but worth a shot to save your house. I am sorry about your wife's illness as I know someone with that too.

You are unemployed but have a lot of skills. A lady told me what she does for her job she does as a side line. She will call the schools to see if she can talk to the children about her job for a set price per first hour then you talk to the school about the cost if the talk runs over one hour. This is another example one lady is good at knitting and she contacts the schools their home economic department talking to the students for $45 an hour the first hour.

So why not try taking one or all your fields of expertise to talk to the children about becoming a golfer, being a musician or about snow skiing what you need or your experience at those.

Call 211 for any resourses they may have and ask about adult protection services as they might come out to give you a list of places cheaper to stay at.

You can check out my blog  just click the horse picture to get there for more information..

I know the feeling about the internet among other expenses and I am looking for roomate situation as things cost too much to do it alone. Check into shared housing in my blog.. Library for the internet or  back to dial up...

Keep trying with craigslist.org, backpages.com and other places snagajob.com plus others for work.

good luck

Sincerely

Starshine
